Lake Michigan Coffee (“we,” “us”) operates lakemichigancoffee.com. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

  • Orders and accounts: your name, email address, phone number, billing and shipping address, order history, and login details if you create an account. Commercial account applications also include your business name, EIN, and contact details.
  • Payments: payments are processed by Stripe (and WooPayments). We never see or store your full card number.
  • Messages and forms: anything you send us through our contact form, commercial account applications, or commercial account messages.
  • Checkout email: if you enter your email address at checkout but do not complete your order, we may store it so we can send a reminder about your cart.
  • Technical data: your IP address, browser type, and the pages you visit, collected by our hosting and store software.

How we use your information

We use your information to process and ship orders, manage subscriptions and commercial accounts, answer your questions, send order updates, prevent fraud, and keep the site working. If you sign up for our emails, we use your address to send news and offers, and you can unsubscribe at any time.

Who we share it with

We share information only with the services we need to run the business: Stripe and WooPayments (payments), Pirate Ship and shipping carriers (delivery), QuickBooks (invoicing for commercial accounts), Google Workspace (email), Hostinger (website hosting and email marketing), and the WordPress and WooCommerce software that powers our store. We do not sell your personal information.

Cookies

We use cookies that keep your cart and login working and help us understand how orders reach our store. Our payment provider may also set cookies to help prevent fraud. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You can block cookies in your browser settings, but the cart and checkout may not work without them.

Retention and security

We keep order records for as long as needed for business, tax, and legal reasons. We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, but no online system is perfectly secure.

Your choices

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to stop sending you marketing emails, by contacting us through our Contact page. We will respond as required by applicable law.

Children

Our site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we will post the new version here and change the date above.
